Step 1: 3M Plastic Polish
3M Plastic Polish eliminates tough stains and scratches on plastics This one-step cleaner and polish removes fine scratches and cloudiness while restoring the optical clarity to the plastic. Use it on motorcycle windscreens, clear vinyl convertible top windows, instrument gauges, and headlights. It also works on colored plastics to remove scratches and brighten the color.
Step 2: 3M Plastic Cleaner
Follow up with 3M Plastic Cleaner. 3M Plastic Cleaner is a non-abrasive cleaner for clear plastic. It’s not a polish because it contains no abrasives. It is a chemical cleaner that safely removes stains, cloudiness, and yellowing from clear plastic, such as motorcycle windscreens (if the protective coating is no longer present) and convertible top windows. Use it to restore the clarity and cleanliness to clear plastic.
3M Plastic Cleaner also works wonders on clear plastic control panels in your car and cloudy headlights. But it doesn’t just stop at clear plastic. Use it on colored plastics that have become stained or dull.
Cobra Mango Breeze Microfiber Towel, 16 x 16 inches
With a 70/30 blend of polyester and polyamide, the Cobra Mango Breeze Microfiber Towel is designed to perform all your cleaning, polishing and buffing jobs. This towel has a double-sided structure: one side has tight loops for cleaning and polishing, the other side is feathery soft for buffing.
2 Poly Foam Wax Applicators
These universal applicators are made of quality closed cell soft poly-foam. They are pliable, strong, and efficient. Use again and again, for any applicator need, then simply toss in the washing machine and they are good as new.
For the best results, use 3M Plastic Polish first to remove heavy oxidation and stains from plastic. Polish in a circular motion until the polish is almost dry. Buff away the residue. Then follow up with 3M Plastic Cleaner to refine the surface like a finishing polish. Buff with the Cobra Mango Microfiber Towel. The 3M Plastic Care Kit should only be used on uncoated plastics.
Application:
- Spread 3M Plastic Polish over the desired surface using light pressure until it dries.
- Buff off with a microfiber towel.
- Apply 3M Plastic Cleaner using the same method. Buff with a clean towel. Repeat if necessary.
