It’s inevitable – your motorcycle’s windshield is going to age. With age comes yellowing, clouding, and scratches. Hey, at least it shows you’re getting some use out of that motorcycle!
The good news is that you can clean and restore the windshield in two easy steps. Meguiar’s has formulated two outstanding plastic care formulas that first clean and then polish clear plastic to bring it back to its original condition.
Step 1: Meguiar’s No. 17 Clear Plastic Cleaner This nonabrasive cleaner removes fine "hairline" scratches and grime from all automotive, aircraft, boat, motorcycle and residential clear plastic windows, windshields, and screens. Dirt fills in tiny scratches to make them more noticeable. Meguiar’s No. 17 will remove the dirt and render the scratches virtually invisible. After polishing with No. 10, the scratches will disappear entirely.
Step 2: Meguiar’s No. 10 Plastic Polish This gentle polish safely restores optical clarity to clear plastic by removing fine scratches and cloudiness. It will not cause new scratches or “rough up” the plastic. Once polished, the plastic will look and feel perfectly smooth.
Meguiar’s No. 10 and No. 17 can be purchased separately or together in the Meguiar’s Plastic Care Kit. The kit includes 2 polyfoam applicator pads and a Cobra microfiber towel.
Directions:
Apply Meguiar’s No. 17 Plastic Cleaner with a microfiber, terry cloth, or polyfoam applicator pad. Work the cleaner into the plastic using light pressure.
Apply Meguiar’s No. 10 Plastic Polish using an applicator pad or the Mother’s PowerBall drill attachment. Work the polish into the plastic using light pressure.
Buff the plastic using a clean microfiber towel. Repeat if necessary.
