Lexol Neatsfoot Leather Dressing moisturizes and protects leather with neatsfoot, a natural moisturizer. Neatsfoot oil is a natural oil with excellent lubrication and conditioning properties. However, pure neatsfoot and other raw oils do not bond to leather fibers and therefore migrate to the surface and to other materials. Lexol changed the chemical nature of the oil to allow it to absorb into leather fibers and therefore yield a non-greasy finish.
Lexol Neatsfoot Leather Dressing still maintains the look and feel of oil, but is buffered to a pH that is better for leather than raw neatsfoot. This dressing also contains a lanolin derivative that moisturizes leather and enhances the performance of the neatsfoot oil. Collagen and elastin proteins found naturally in leather are nourished, improving the flexibility and durability of the leather.
Though Lexol has altered neatsfoot from its natural form, there are no chemical solvents in Lexol Neatsfoot Leather Dressing. It will not damage or discolor even light-colored leather and is non-toxic and non-irritating. You can apply it with your hands. It requires no special ventilation and is odorless. It simply restores softness and a healthy sheen to leather without a greasy finish.
Note: Like all leather care products, Lexol Neatsfoot Leather Dressing is not recommended for suede or super soft leather.
Following an application of Lexol Leather Cleaner, use Lexol Neatsfoot Dressing to hydrate and replenish your leather motorcycle seat and accessories. This step comes before Lexol Leather Conditioner.
