The 2 ¾ inch Hook & Loop Backing Plate is made of a solid piece of heavy duty, molded plastic with a thick pad of urethane adhered to the bottom. The urethane has hooks & loops molded into it to hold pads in place as you polish.
The backing plate is threaded to fit any 5/8 inch shaft. It screws directly onto any circular polisher. The 2 ¾ inch backing plate is recommended for use on your electric drill with the help of the Spot Buffs Drill Adapter (LC-46-231).
This small backing plate accommodates any 4 inch hook & loop foam pad, such as Spot Buffs or Lake Country Low Profile 4 inch pads.
* If you use this backing plate on your rotary polisher, use it at a very low speed and keep the polisher moving to avoid burning the paint.
