What’s your wash tool of choice for your motorcycle? If you are under the impression that they’re all the same, read this. It might just change your mind about your current wash tool.
Many of the scratches that appear on your motorcycle are caused while you wash it. The dirt and grime that you are trying to remove, actually sticks to the mitt or sponge. With each swipe, you’re rubbing dirt across the chrome, paint, or plastic. This is the number one cause of scratches on motorcycles and vehicles.
 The Bone by Cobra is a whole new approach to the old-fashioned wash sponge. The 3 inch thick foam sponge is wrapped in super soft, fluffy microfiber. You’ve probably got a stack of microfiber towels in your garage, but this weave is unlike what you’d use to dry the surface. This weave is open-ended, which means the fibers are not looped. The Bone has thousands of individual fingers covering its exterior. These fingers massage dirt and grime off the surface and then release it into the wash bucket. With no dirt caught in the weave, there’s nothing to scratch your motorcycle.
The inner foam pad is 3 inches thick and bone-shaped for an easy grip, even with wet hands. The overall dimensions of The Bone are 9” x 5”. The dense foam pad holds an abundance of soapy water so the paint surface is well-lubricated as you wash.
Tip: Use the two-bucket method every time you wash your motorcycle. Fill one bucket with soapy water. Fill the second bucket with clean water. Every time you need to re-wet The Bone, rinse it in the rinse bucket before dipping it in the wash water. Your wash water will stay cleaner and there will much less dirt transferred back to your bike.
